Joining the sounds of BACKTOBACK this month is Colby Dann, a versatile DJ straight out of South East London who plays multiple genres of dance music from disco, house through to minimal.

The mix showcases a blend of minimal and deep house sounds, building the energy as the mix progresses to more peak time tracks with punchy vocals and groovy baselines. I enjoyed the entire mix but if I had to pick I would say the second half of the mix is where it really builds in energy which is exactly what I am about as a DJ.
Q2: Name 3 DJs who are inspiring your sound?
That's a tough one but I think I would have to go with DJOKO, Laidlaw & T.Jacques. Three massively talented producers and DJs in the scene right now in my opinion.
Q3:
What are your highlight events this year?
That would definitely be Beeyou at 93 Feet East in terms of raving and then closing my own party Box of Toys following on from ASH-R was a special moment. The energy at both was incredible!
Q4: Do you have any 2022 goals that you are happy to share?
I've started producing recently so the aim is to complete 2-3 tracks that I am happy with the standard and then also to play out as much as I can. Then for my brand, my aim is to create more incredible parties where my residents and the upcoming DJs can showcase their talent.
Q5: Lastly, what makes the perfect B2B?
The perfect B2B is where both DJs are able to vibe off each other's energy and really take the crowd on a journey. I love it when 2 DJs play together and you can see there's a connection and they are just having it behind the decks.
