With residencies in some of the UK's biggest nightlclubs such as Printworks, Studio 338 and The Warehouse Project, George Marshman has made a mark on the rave scene and continues to do so. Gaining recognition from some of the industries biggest names, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones and Richy Ahmed, we couldn't be happier that he joined us for our GROUNDED mix series! His unique sound, which captures elements of techno, trance and acid house is one to get you moving. Whilst in lockdown, we spoke with George about his love for music, and the difficulty DJs are facing during lockdown!
What style of mix have you gone for?
Ive got for tracks that really represent my sound on the dance floor. There’s a bit of everything in there, techno, ghetto house, rave the lot.
What inspires you to do music?
Just my love for it and making music to make people dance. There’s nothing better than having a dance floor full of people grooving with you as one.
What’s your top tip in isolation?
Accept it and play by the rules. And for me it’s just making as much music as possible so next year is as good as possible.
What’s the first thing you’ll do when we are no longer Grounded?
Hopefully get behind a booth somewhere and see all my mates again. It’s been a hard couple of months.
What’s your favourite part of your mix?
I enjoyed all of it it’s probably one of my favourite mixes I’ve recorded so far!
